India Trip part 3 : Is India safe for Solo Travel Woman ?

I WILL DEFINETELY SAID NO !!!

If you are woman, I seriously not recommend you to travel solo to India.
This was what happened when we were in India :

Airport
- Our friends not let us walk out from airport, if he didnt arrive yet. I know it was because he didnt want us to be fool with someone, or push to get some not necessary service at the airport.

Apartment
- When only just two of us in the apartment, he transferred us to another friends apartment, since it was not safe for girls in the apartment. If you read my another blog, you will read that the apartment complex that we stayed was very cozy and i think it was safe. But turn out, our Indian friends think that it didnt safe enough.

Public Transportation
- Dont use MRT if you just woman who travel solo. We used MRT only one time, because we want to experience it. We accompanied by our Indian male friends but everyone at the MRT was man and they stared at us (they even didnt try to hide it).
- Well we found out that there were a special wagon for woman only because there are lot of sexual harassment at the MRT. So that government tried to protect woman by this speciality. But still, I dont recommend you to take MRT.
- Our friends told us because it was not safe for woman to use public transportation, that's why there are lot of woman who drive their car in Delhi.

Tourist Area
- When we went to Taj Mahal and another tourist place, everyone stared at us even we accompanied with guide man and also male friend, but they still stared at us. Some people even tried to took a photo of us secretly. It really scared me.
- It also happened when I was in Jaipur. Some people want to take picture with us. Even-tho we were there acoompanied by our Indian male friends.
- The most crazy things when it was only just two of us (asian women) walking around at some tourist area in Delhi, at everywhere people asked for taking a photo with us BAHAHAHAHA. That was very silly and weird... Bahahaha. We are not even an artist or pretty enough but why why why they want took a photo of us. Hahahahaha. BUT this is a true story.. Everyone asked to take a selfie or photo group with us. It was not only 1-3 people, but A LOT... Bahahaha. Because finally we got used to it, at some point, we will know from a far which one (person or group) who want to take a photo with us. If we feel that feeling. We just walk fast, really fast, so that they could not catch us. Bahahaha.

Well since some of them asked to take photo with us.
It was our turn to asked to take photo with some of them. :p

This little boy was very photogenic, hahaha

That was why I dont recommend for foreigner woman to walk around in India alone.
We little bit felt safe because we know, when we found some bad guys or difficulty, we could called our friends immediately and they will come to help us.

I asked Anshi, about incident that happen years ago about rape gang in India. She said that gang rape already decreased for these past three years but it only at Delhi it is still happened outside Delhi, like in the rural areas.

Well... this blog was my personal opinion.
From someone who never travel alone or visited other country alone.
If you brave enough to solo travel to India, congratulation !!
You will experience a very very very unique and memorable joourney :)
