India Trip Part 1 : The Highlight

I want to write lot of things that happened at my Trip to India.
It was very memorable and different than my other trip to another Asian country.
.
I was there for a wedding.
The wedding itself was at Kotdar (4 to 5 hours to reached there from Delhi).
This will be in India Trip Part 2 : Indian Wedding.
The wedding itself was and the weekdays, that's why I could visited another place on the weekends. This will be in India Trip Part 4 : Agra and Jaipur.
.
This are some highlight of my trip to india...
.
Visa India
I never applied visa before, wkwkwk,
We just use travel agent to apply visa for us...
This is my first time to apply visa.
.
and IT WAS VERY EASY..
Like VERY VERY EASY...
hahaha I capitalize it, so that you will sure that it was very easy.
LOL
.
I just applied visa for some Asia country a week before.
Even tho some people said this country is very easy to apply visa.
But for my experience, Indian Visa was the best.
Hahaha..
.
You dont have to go to Indian Embassy.
Just apply at their website
http;/indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html
upload some documents and filled some blank...
and voilaaa... it is done.
LOL.
.
The price for this e-visa was 51 USD.
You can paid it using credit card.
Wohoo so simple.
and they will respond only 1-2 working days.
AMAZING.
.
This e-visa thing was amazing.
Dear another embassy, please consider to use this kind of things toooo..

Airplane
Indian people really love to talk, hahaha.
If you know (close with) one of them, they really really love to talk and could talk for hourssss.
They could find lot of topic to talk to..
For someone who not talk to much like me (i'm very lazy hahaha).
For me, they are very very AMAZING... Hahaha
I choose listening than talking, that's why I love being surrounded by Indian people, so that I dont have to talk and dont have to find some interesting topic. ahahaha
I think, now... If I must have a working group, I will DEFINITELY choose Indian people for my group. So that there is someone who always cheer up the room, find a topic and talk for presentation. Hahaha

But If you like me, who love something that quite and dont like any disruption.
Dont forget to bring your earphone and books when you are at Airplane.
Because some of Indian people talk as group in the aisle of plane or near toilet area. Hahaha
Dont forget to choose seat which little bit far from toilet, it is more quite.

Airport
When we reached Indira Gandhi International airport.
Our friend not allowed us to walk out from inside of the airport if he didnt arrive there yet.
I thought it's because he is a super protective person.
But turn out it's because some Indian think Delhi is not safe for woman.
And because we are tourist (Asian), we will look very different and it's easy for them to fool us. hahaha

This was the outside of airport. It's not too crowded tho.

But I think, now after my seven days trip at India.
Now I know why our friend never allow us to walk just the two of us (both Asian women) or even when we just walk just both of us, we have to tell them or report to them. I will write it in the Trip to India Part 3  : Is India safe for solo travel woman ?.
Overall, Indira Gandhi International Airport not as scared as that I think.
Only it's little bit unorganized on the outside, some people offered taxi and guide service with loud voice and little bit force you to use their service.

Apartment
We stayed at our friends apartment and typical apartment in India was not so high, only 3 to 7 stories.
I like this kind of apartment so that we still can see sky and still feel grounded.

This is the apartment, not near Delhi tho.
It was in Noida, about half or one hour from Delhi.

The bad things only, there is no automatic heater at the apartment.
So that you have to heat your water manually using some tools that you put in the water.
Because I really scared to touch electric things, I can not use the tool, hiks.

This is the tool, mmm... mostly like this.

At the apartment complex there is some public area like library, small playground and nice garden.
Because I dont have this kind of this on my complex, I little bit envy them, hahaha
But some books are very old and full of dusty.

The Library

The Small Garden

Animal
The best part from India was.. you can found animal at everywhere...
Like literally everywhere....
And they are very nice, gentle and not afraid to human.

You can found stray cows in everywhere.
Even in the road or anywhere place that very random tho.

When we asked why there are lot of cows in India.
Our friends told us that cows for Indian people are Gods.
They donnt kill cows.
So that unproductive (that not produce milk) cows will abandoned by them.
He called it as stray cows..
Due to surplus of milk, there are lot of Indian food that contain with milk.

Well.. since my back ground is Public Policy.
I asked them, what government did for this matters.
Because stray cows will bother human if they just walking around in their neighborhood.
There will be lot of social and health impact cause of this matter.
It's not good for that cows also, because it eat plastic since it can not found grassland in Delhi.
Turn out India Government have had done something in the past.
They relocated stray cows to another place. It's just like pool for stray cows.
But there are lot of stray cows all over India, Government could not pool all that stray cows to only one place and they didnt have lot of budget to feed them.
Due to that, Government just leave the stray cows in the street and more concerned with human beings. Because Indian are the second large population in the world, there are lot of social problem that matter most than only stray cows matters.

This goat and bird living in harmonies... lovely

Only in India you can found elephant in the street...

But you will not found elephant in Delhi.
In my case, I just found it in Agra and Jaipur. People there use elephant as transportation.
In Kodwar I didnt find elephant too.

ONLY in India, you can feed squirrel from your hands..... LOVELY

Seriously, this is one of the best moment in India.
Feeding squirrels.. they are very very very gentle... and not afraid to human at all..
Even you made a move or recorded it, they was fine with it huhuhuu so FUN...
That's also happened with bird, when they was in the land/ground, you try to approach them, they was fine with that.
I really love how human and animal leaving in harmony in India...
So Lovely....

Weather in November
India in November was cold especially at the night (extreme cold).
I could not took a shower at the night because it was very cold, even in the morning I have to wait to take a shower at 8 or 9 am so that the water not too cold.
And the weather is not very dry but not humid also...
I didnt sweat a lot (thanks to the nice weather) so it was fine to not take a bath or wash my hair.
hahaha
I really love it.
I usualy have to wash my hair everyday, but in India I could wash my hair after three days.
LOL
I FREAKING LOVE THE WEATHER... BAHAHAHA

Indian Food
as you know, Indian food full of seasoning.. there are always onion flavor on them and you will found lots of food that made off milk...

These were some of the food that I found there...

Our friends maid made us prata for breakfast.
Two type prata, original (she didnt add anything to it) and vegetable prata (they add some vegetable)

This is the original prata.
I forgot the name of this prata, haha

This one is the vegetable prata.
And this is how to eat prata, just add better or pickle on top of this.

We found this food on the rest area to Jaipur from Delhi.
I forget the price, but it's so cheap.
The taste was good. It's mix of bread and youghurt

Also forgot what this name and price

Seriously eat only bread not made me full. Hahhaa
I need rice !!

We had diner at fancy restaurant and still we have to eat prata. Hahha

Panir in this restaurant was good.
Panir is milk tofu

They serve mint milk beverage after you finish your meals.

They also serve this kind of seasoning to neutral your tongue.

We ate this in our way to Agra from Jaipur
This taste was better than other.
This is how you eat this dish. Just crack the bread and put seasoning in there...
So fresh...

When we stay at our friends apartment.
After her mother finished her morning prayer, she gave us this holy.
Very kind aunty

Well if you know me, I could ate all kind of food and never picky on food.
But turn out, I could not eat Indian food everyday, hahahaha
So.. when we were not with our Indian friends, we sneakily go to KFC
To taste some normal food here.

I picked rice something -forget the name-.
but stillllllll... the taste still like Indian food LOL
Even I bought some chinese food in the airport it still taste Indian food LOL

Because I really need Asian food.
I order instant noodle when we are at Tip Top - Kodwar
But stilll...... The taste ... T_T
I need to back home soon. hahahaha

How to bargain in India
Seriously.... dont buy any souvenir at airport. hahahha
Because they raise the prices ridiculously
I found some bag in the market only 20 Rupee but in airport they sold it for 200 Rupee .

When you are in the market, just becareful with thief.
I lost my wallet at the market
Seriously...... I never lost my wallet in any country that I have visited before
But in India only I lost my wallet.
Hiks

This is my valuable advice for you.. hahaha
Dont bargain with them, if you are tourist you will never win over them hahahhaa
just bring you Indian friends, and let them bargain for you, bahaha
This is what I did

If you dont have friends,,, just bargain half of the price...
and always pretend that you didnt interest with their goods
At Jaipur, some guide offer us their service, start from 1000 Rupee.
Because we just walk away and seem not interested he lowered the price to 500 Rupee and finally become 100 Rupee. Hahaha...

Also becareful with the trader, sometimes they will fool you
when you already agree on some price, they intentionally gave false change.
So you have to check the change.

Air Pollution
Well...
All big cities in develop country has a problem with pollution.
Thanks God, when I visited Delhi, the air pollution drop 95%.
But still you can found lot of dust as evidence of pollution at everywhere.
My friends said at his apartment, if he lazy enough to not clean his apartment.
the dust will be 5 cm in 3 days...
That's crazy..
so dont forget to bring any mask when you are at Delhi

Car in India
In Delhi... there are no good cars in there... bahahahha
Good cars that I meant are cars without scratch or breakage..
All cars have a breakage, LOL
This evidence of Delhi's Traffic was very bad, hahahha
You will found that no one who follow the rules in here, bahahaha
They keep breaking the red light and the worst part was... there is no police in the street. hahaha
If you think, you could found some "Inspektur Vijay" in the street like in the movie...
YOU WILL NEVER FOUND HIM
hahahhaha.....

So it was really hard to crossed the street.
Seriously it  was really hard... LOL
Even our friends said "when you crossed the street in Delhi, dont try to stop the car (It will never stop tho)... just walk, they will stopped when they see human and if it's not that's our fate then"
BAHAHHHHA

In my experience in airport.
I found some driver who clumsy enough to not use hand break when he stopped.
Bahahhaha
He just walked out from his car and let the car drive by itself, bahahahha
He realize his mistake after hear my scream.
I scream like crazy... because I just nearly watch his car bumped to another car. hahahaha
But seriously.. this guy not even panic. WTfish
He just back to his car and being cool like there is nothing happened.
Crazy.... Hahahha
My friends said, car crash was very often happened in Delhi, because it's too often there are no newspaper who will cover this news anymore.... hahaha

Seriously...
I drive at Jakarta and always think that Jakarta's traffic was very bad.
But turn out Delhi's traffic more worst than Jakarta
I keep closed my eyes when I was in car, ahahahaha
